Upon receiving the parts for the FTP 82mm throttle body I immediately knew this was going to be a straight forward install. All the parts were included and were as described ( TB and TB plenum are used but in like new condition, all else is brand new ). Installing the parts are not as hard as rebuilding and engine but it's not a 30 minute install either. Removal of the supercharger is required so you should set aside about 6-8 hours of install time but everything went smooth and everything bolted on to perfection like an OEM setup. The only thing I needed after everything was installed was a re-tune from Eurocharged ( free since I already have their regular tune ) and all is well. As far as power, I have yet to dyno the car since I still have parts waiting to be installed but I was one of the more skeptical people regarding how much a TB upgrade can possibly give you, boy was I wrong. 1st and 2nd gear aren't much different but 3rd gear is a whole other animal. My quarter mile traps went from 119mph to 121mph ( same times due to wheel spin so I haven't broken my PB of 11.8 ) with just the TB upgrade over my regular mods. This kit was worth it big time. Thank you FTP.

I haven't experienced any heat soak since I have had this install along with my new Bosch HE water pump. Sure there are some cheaper ones on the market, but none of those have the volume or dual-pass feature of the FTP HE. You definitely get what you pay for in this Heat Exchanger! I always recommend your parts to those who are looking to upgrade. Even when the package was dinged up from the shipper, you compensated for the issue and were a fantastic vendor to work with.

I have been driving the car for a couple days since install and can tell temps running lower than usual. Car seems to pull noticeably harder each time I get on it. Installation on the Sl55 required us to leave the stock heat exchanger and loop it to the intercooler pump and FTP H/E. We also had to set the oil cooler behind the FTP H/E. The bumper fitment was a bit difficult but not impossible and required some trimming on the inside. The customer service I received was from Steve has been top notch. I was concerned about what lines to run where for the plumbing but received a link to a diagram from Steve that made the job too easy. The FTP heat exchanger is a must for any stock or upgraded AMG! I will be purchasing through Fabtech again soon.

Definitely wakes the car up. My E55 is completely stock and I gained 25wtq and almost 40whp..
The sound is there. Not obnoxious for cruising or at any point actually but sounds good and mean opened up. Even get a burble slowing down for a stop light.
